The Property.....Part Deux!

I took Mommy on a road trip this past weekend with Grammy and Granddad. Mommy has been looking a little stale these days so I thought it was time to knock the dust off of her and take her out to get some fresh air in her lungs. Daddy has been so busy with planting my garden and building my garage that he wasn't able to come with us :-(

Grammy and Granddad picked us up at 7am Saturday and we headed south. Our first stop was Reb's Cafe in Benson, Arizona. I watched Mommy shovel some eggs, hash browns and toast in her mouth while Grammy and Granddad shared an omelet. After fueling up at Reb's we left for destination Property.

The weather was so beautiful. Once we arrived we went for a walk to the stock tank but our first stop was at the canopy to look for the bobcat kittes.
(Do you see the kitty?)
After playing with the kittes we continued our walk to the stock tank.

But before we could make it Granddad wanted to stop and pet the bulls.
After our little trip to the ol' watering hole we headed back to the house.
(Like Where's Waldo, but Where's LB....hehehehe!)
Granddad gave me a ride on the quad. My 1st one too!
After our ride around the house Granddad wanted to make some minor adjustments to the quad for my riding pleasure....
After the quad ride we went back to play with the kittes....Bob and Cat.
Back to the stock tank....but this time I was able to play in the water!!
And then Granddad, Mommy and I rowed around in the boat...
Granddad gave me this really cool bark from the ol' oak tree and as soon as Mommy turned her head...in my mouth it went :-)
The day was long and out I went....

As the great Dave Barry said "And that's the wonderful thing about family travel: it provides you with experiences that will remain locked forever in the scar tissue of your mind".
Love to you all ~LB

Dear Uncle Jason

This blog posting is for you. I think you think all I do all day is eat, hang out with mommy, play with my toys, eat, hang out with mommy, soil my diaper at least a dozen or so times, wait for daddy to come home, eat, nap four times a day, eat, watch daddy drive the backhoe into the wall, eat and so on. I know it doesn't seem like much but the truth is I am busy very, VERY busy. Cooking 101

I recently came to the conclusion that Mommy does not know how to cook so I hijacked the kitchen and made my own baby food.
On the menu .....PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE cooked in a cast iron skillet!
STEP 1:
Gather all of your ingredients

STEP 2:
Mix all of the ingredients together and prepare for drooling

STEP 3:
Insert the cake into the oven

STEP 4:
Enjoy!

Now this is what I call food!!
Tomorrow's menu....cupcakes!

Road Trip!

I took my second trip this past August 9th & 10th. Mommy and Daddy took my up to Flagstaff, Snowbowl, then to the south rim of the Grand Canyon for my cousin Joe's memorial. It was what I would call a mini-vacay that started at 3:30am on Sunday and ended at 5:30pm on Monday.
Not to toot my own horn but I must tell everyone what a FANTASTIC boy I was. I spent a good majority of my day on Sunday in my car seat and I never cried. First it was the drive to Flag, then the drive for lunch, then the drive to Snowbowl, then the drive to the Grand Canyon AND then the drive back to the hotel where we arrived at 10:30pm. If I must....I would call myself a SUPER TROOPER!
Here are some pictures of the trip....
Here I am packed up and ready to go. Umm...I think we are getting closer! After our arrival off to lunch we went.
I'll take one of those please!
Here is our bed for the night
Here is our bench for the nightHere is our chair for the night
Here I am taking a moment to collect my thoughts before we head up to Snowbowl for the 1st part of Joe's memorial. All of the friends and family that have gathered.
Daddy and I in front the ski lifts at Snowbowl.
(Hee...hee...hee...Or the barf inducers for Mommy)
To the man (or woman) who invented the SUVs....a BIG thank you!My firsts sights of the Grand Canyon The Memorial
Mommy and I Out shopping the next day.
And finally on our trip home but we needed to make a stop at the truck station for a fresh butt and a drink.
I hope you have enjoyed my latest adventure!

Love LB!
