Eating 101

Mommy decided to start feeding me some solids a little ahead of my 6 month birthday. She thought I was showing all of the signs of being ready like being able to sit up on my own, studying Mommy and Daddy while they ate and being able to easily lift things up to my mouth. So on Sunday the 19th Mommy brought out the cereal, bowl, spoon and breast milk-stirred it all up and here is what happened....
Day 1
First bite in....
First bite out....
I am not amused with this eating from a spoon bit and I would rather play with my rattle.

Day 1 ended in some whining and fussing so Mommy put the spoon down. I let her put about 1/2 of a 1/2 of a 1/2 of a spoon full of that cereal dirt in my mouth.

Day 2
First bite in.....
Seriously...you are not coming at me with that spoon again!
Here....let me try.
Day 2 ended in some more whining and fussing so again Mommy put the spoon down. I let her put about 1/2 of a 1/2 of a spoon full of that cereal dirt in my mouth.

Day 3
What! Day 3! This is absurd. I thought I made it clear on day 1 and 2 that I am not enjoying this thing you call cereal. You can not disguise the taste of dirt by pouring breast milk in it. HELLO!! I am smarter then that!
I am off to explore the taste of my toes in my mouth. I hope you have enjoyed the latest adventure of me, LB, at my expense!
XOXO

Happy 4th of July!!!

As you all should this was my very first 4TH OF JULY and boy was it a lot of fun! I went to Grandpa and Grandma's for a BBQ. They made some really yummy shredded pork and for dessert a delicious strawberry rhubarb pie. Best of all.....I FINALLY went swimming!!
(Okay...so here I am in my festive outfit courtesy of Grandpa & Grandma (I think they like me). Did I mention this is a 12 MONTH romper)(Mommy and I)(Grandpa and I in the pool)(Grandpa yelling at Grandma that the fountain switch is on the left right)(Grandpa, Cousin A.J., Adie and I)(and ME being ADORABLE!)

So now you ask...what did I learn about the 4th of July? Mommy can pack A LOT of food away!! Let's see...it all started with a fork full of the shredded pork, then it was a pork pulled sandwich with onions, a scoop of pasta salad and hunk of bean dip and chips. She licked that plate clean and then went back for another pork sandwich and onions. A little later on I caught her eating a slice of the strawberry rhubarb pie and a slice of peach upside down cake. I then turn my back for one minute and she's eating more bean dip followed by some BBQ Lays Chip and by god another slice of pie!!!! We had to leave just so Mommy would quit eating!

Okay...I have to go now because it's time to go grocery shopping. I am sure I don't need to explain why...again.

Love to the USA from LB!

Father's Day

Okay...here is the Father's Day update. For Mother's Day Grandma made breakfast and we had a picnic in the park so for Father's Day Mommy returned the favor. However, because Mommy is a blonde she forgot to take pictures. Thank goodness someone invited Grandpa to the party because he remembered to take them.

Oops...gotta go. Mommy eating beans equals wet farts for me! Oh....DADDY!

Teaching Mommy new tricks

Hi everyone! It's me, LB. I am writing this blog as a safety instructor so Mommy if you are reading this PAY ATTENTION!!
This is the big WARNING sticker on my car seat. I know it's kinda hard to read so I'll help by pointing out some of the more important warnings.
1) Child's movements can slide carrier
2) Always stay within arms reach whenever carrier is not on floor/ground
3) NEVER leave child in carrier when straps are loose or undone.

Okay....and here is 1, 2 and 3 all put together as an example.

Mommy thought it would okay to leave me UNBUCKLED on the SOFT couch while she gathered our supplies to go on our morning walk. When she returned, but only 30 seconds later, this was ME! Don't be too hard Mommy because she learned her lesson...very quickly!

Four Month Check-Up

I had my FOUR MONTH check up last week. I now weigh 18.2lbs. I am 26 3/4" long and my head is 43cm. That puts me in the 95th percentile for my weight and height and 75th percentile for my head.
(Is it just me or did someone shrink my swing?)

I attempted to take my FIRST (non-bathtub) SWIM this past weekend at Aunt Kissy's house. It turns out the water was a little too cold for me.

(Granddad is getting my foot ready for the first dip)(Oh....that water was too cold. It made me cry)
(Okay, Granddad made it all better so I'll just stay here and watch)(Aunt Kissy wanted to try her hand too but it still wasn't going to happen)

Okay....I am off to bed now. Love to my Peeps! LB
